Soweto Nights - Whats On Offer - Typical Itinerary
Day 1:
Transport from Johannesburg to your BB in Soweto.
Tours start with a visit to the Mandela House Family Museum, where Nelson Mandela lived in the 1950's before being imprisoned.
Lunch at Nambitha's is followed by a guided tour of the Hector Pietersen
Museum.
A rest at the BB and an evening meal, then visitors will go to a local Shebeen for a Soweto night out.
Soweto Nights- Day 2
Breakfast at BB, and visitors leaving return to Johannesburg. The first visit is to the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg. The afternoon visit is to Museum Afrika, with a presentation about Johannesburg's recent history, rock art, and various other exhibits. Afterwards shop for gifts at the Curio Market outside. The evening meal will again be eaten at the BB, followed by a visit to one of the local music venues.
Soweto Nights - Day 3
Breakfast at the BB, and some guests return to Johannesburg.
First visit is to the Constitution Hill Museum. On the way back visitors will stop at Regina Mundi Church, Avalon Cemetery, and the Kliptown Memorial.
After an evening meal visitors will go to the Market Theatre for a show to end the visit. The Tour will finish after breakfast the next day, and visitors will return to Johannesburg.
Tour Costs
The Tour fee per day will be £ 105 per person, based on sharing a room. For single guests it is £135 which includes the extra travel costs and a single accommodation supplement. The price includes transport, all Museum tours, evening meals and breakfasts, one lunch, and tours; drinks on evening trips are excluded.
